Hello there!
I've been trying to track down some bands/songs that I first heard on Peel Sessions in 1984. The first was a band called Eleven, who I think, Damian O'Neill from the undertones played guitar with..anyone know of links to get any of their music?
Second one was a song I heard as well round about that time. It started with the spoken lines "You thought it was clever, he was wearing leather and he wasn't one of you" and then describes some guy being beaten up, then moves onto the song itself..with lines like "Will you answer the phone, and will I dare to say (I think) Sorry if it's a bit vague...
John Peel provided the soundtrack to my teenage years, as a would be existential poet, living in Glasgow!. He introduced myself and many others to fantastic music over many years. Hopefully I can find them again.
All the best
Steve
